Nice! I've found that sitting quietly with my emotions is a lot different from sitting with my thoughts. My thoughts go all over the place, but my heart is often pretty calm if I just listen.
Lovely reflection, glad you are ok. I am also in a space of healing and quiet and accompanying potential for transformation. Hoping for a deep and meaningful recovery for you.
First and foremost, I'm really glad you're okay. Broken bones and bruises have a way of slowing us down whether or not we agree to it, but I'm grateful you're here to write about it.
I have to ask...what happened?
Your reflection really stayed with me, especially the last line: "The hardest part is not building a life; it's pausing to realize you're actually living in one." That's one I'll be carrying around for a while.
Years ago, I found myself lying in the mud on a remote road in Bolivia after an unexpected get-off. Looking back, it wasn't just a crash. It was an interruption.
Sometimes life has a way of insisting we pay attention.
Heal well, my friend. I'll be looking forward to hearing the rest of the story when you're ready.

That’s a good insight Charlie, those are two completely different things to sit with but equally important.
Stephen, so sorry you were involved in a crash. Hope you heal quickly and well!
Thanks for sharing the challenge of sitting in silence. Grateful we don’t have too, yet can cherish the peaceful moments when needed.
Life moves fast, it’s important to pause once in a while and unfortunately it takes things like this remind us of that.
Dude, so sorry to here this, you mentioned fracture bones, hopefully your young body heals quicker than mine ❤️🙏
And yes, sitting alone with one's emotions and wandering mind.
Hardest thing i ever did was sit a Shessin for 7 days, meditating in silence on and off 16 hours a day 😩🤗🙏

Thank you 🙏
I’m looking forward to the other side of this.
Nothing like a life-changing event to bring forward an old lesson with new energy to learn. I hope you recover well and silence becomes a friend.
Stephen—Dude!!!!!

Let’s just say a little baby deer snuck his way in front of me, ending a two day event 500 miles from home, in the first 20 mins. 🫠
My summer will now be spent writing and reading….sort of like winter but I’ll be outside.
Ha ha! Well, nice to be outside! Take care and keep us posted
